Stream I/O should not be mixed with normal record-oriented (formatted or unformatted) I/O on the same unit; the results are unpredictable. :param C: The type shall be ``CHARACTER`` and of default kind. :param STATUS: (Optional) status flag of type ``INTEGER``.
